Setup Email Account In Microsoft Outlook Print

  1. Launch your microsoft oultook.
  2. From the top left menu click 'File'.
  3. From account information click 'Add Account'.
  4. Enter your email address.
  5. Click 'Advanced Options', check ‘Let me setup my account manually’ and click the button ‘Connect’.
  6. Under 'Advanced Setup', select 'IMAP'.
  7. Under 'IMAP Account Settings', change server name to 'mail.domain.co.za' (replace domain with your domain name) for the Incoming & Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP).
  8. Change Incoming Mail Server Port to 993.
  9. Change Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) Port to 465 or 587.
  10. Encryption method select 'SSL/TLS'.
  11. Check the box under Outgoing Mail ‘Require logon using secure Password Authentication(SPA)’ as it is our current mail server policy to allow sending from the mail client.
  12. Click the button ‘Next’.
  13. Enter your password, click 'Connect'.
  14. Email account added successfully in Microsoft Outlook and is ready to use.
